Student of Month Winners – November 2009 “Responsibility”

Congratulations to the following students who have been selected by their team teachers for demonstrating the national Character Counts trait “RESPONSIBILITY.”

A.T.T.I.T.U.D.E- Fernald Betoushana – Fernald is an exceptional student who exemplifies the character trait responsibility.  He is always on task in class, and always has his homework.  No matter what the task, Fernald keeps trying.  He takes responsibility for his education by always asking for guidance on things he does not understand.  Fernald is an all around great student who always tries his best.  What a responsible kid!

Team Fusion- Habeba Mostafa- Habeba is kind and respectful to all, and strives to do her very best in all aspects of her life. (Did you know she has a black belt in tae kwon do?) In order to accomplish her goals, Habeba is on time to class and ready to work hard. She turns her assignments in on time, studies for tests, and is always prepared for whatever comes her way, both in school and in her personal life. For these reasons, Team Fusion believes that Habeba truly exemplifies the pillar of responsibility.

Trailblazers- Anthony Jimenez - Anthony has not missed a day of school this year, and comes to school prepared and ready to learn.  He turns in his assignments on time and is always willing to ask questions when he doesn’t understand something.  He pays attention, helps others when needed and leads by example.  Anthony is an excellent addition to our classes.  Congratulations, Tony!

Team Excellence - Team Excellence has two students to recognize this month.  One is Yaniv Parsay- Yaniv embodies responsibility.  He does his best in all assignments; he is organized; he is helpful; he is terrific.  He sets a fine example for other students by his quiet actions that have a great sense of maturity and purpose to them.  Yaniv is a student by which other students can be measured.  Team Excellence also would like to recognize Leobardo Gomez- Leobardo is an outstanding and responsible student.  He is respectful to his peers and teachers.  He always completes his work with accuracy and quality.  Leo works to his full potential without whining and complaining, and he will take the initiative (doesn’t need to be reminded) to do other work or read when he has finished his classwork.  Great job Leobardo!

Pacesetters- Ryan Tait – Ryan is always on task in class.  He is a self-starter in his studies, and is always willing to help anyone around him who needs help.  Ryan plays ice hockey all over the country against international teams; he always comes to his teachers at a convenient time for them in order to get his work, and it is always completed when he returns.  Ryan Tait is an exceptional example of this character trait.  Way to go, Ryan!

Congratulations to you all!  You will be invited to a brunch in your honor this Friday, Dec. 4th.  Thank you for making Placerita a place where Character Counts!
