Summer School Applications Have Arrived!
If you are a promoting 8th grader, you may get your health requirement out of the way by taking a 2 1/2 credit health class for only 11 days at West Ranch, Saugus, or Canyon.
If you are a promoting 8th grader, you may take Algebra C at Saugus High School for 24 days and be ready for geometry in the fall.
If you are a credit-deficient 7th grader, a non-promoting 8th grader, an ELD student, or are scoring below proficient in English or math, you are required to attend summer school at Placerita for 11 days from July 1 through July 16.

AAUW Sponsors 11th Annual Math/Science Conference
On Saturday, March 20, at Golden Valley High School, the SCV branch of American Association of University Women will host their 11th annual Math/Science Conference for 7th and 8th grade girls. The day is devoted to hands-on and career workshops led by professional women in math, science, engineering, or medicine. Students will explore their areas of interest in three morning sessions. Parents and interested adults are invited to participate in a separate session to explore high school course planning, college entrance requirements, and financial aid programs. The Math/Science Conference begins at 8 a.m. and runs until 12:30 p.m. The cost is $10. Brochures will be available in early February at Placerita and the public library. TAP (Transit Access Pass)
Do you have a child who rides Santa Clarita Transit? Good news! The City of Santa Clarita Transit has upgraded to TAP (Transit Access Pass), Los Angeles County’s new bus faire payment card. This card will replace paper passes and free students from hauling around exact change. For more information, click here.
